Tao Te Ching Chapter 9-6
Heaven’s Tao
That's Tao of heaven. (Ch.9)

♦  ♦  ♦

Let's decode this.

It means:

The hologram is a manifestation of Tao the fundamental energy. You should cherish it through the world around you, which is your hologram.

Japanese Zen Master Dogen says:

Life is just non-life. (Shoji 生死, «Shobogenzo»)

Tao Te Ching Chapter 9-1
Don’t keep it filled up
You had better stop keeping it filled up. (Ch.9)

♦  ♦  ♦

Don't be stuck in the world in front of you.

It is a hologram you

create. That is to say, it is an illusion you

create.

It is like the fuel tank in a car. If you keep it filled up, the car cannot run at all.

Let your world flow freely.

Tao Te Ching Chapter 9-2
Don’t be sharp
If you hammer and sharpen it, you cannot keep it long. (Ch.9)

♦  ♦  ♦

Don't be sharp.

Don't be smart.

Don't use your intelligence.

If you are sharp and brilliant, it is hard for you to accept all.

If you cannot accept all, you cannot be one with Tao.

Tao Te Ching Chapter 9-3
No gold
No one can protect gold and jade safely if they fill a hall. (Ch.9)

♦  ♦  ♦

Remember everything you see is a hologram.

There is no point protecting it.

It is useless to keep it.

You can't protect it.

You don't have to do it, either.

Tao Te Ching Chapter 9-4
Don’t be haughty
If you are haughty

when you are rich

and noble, you are

asking for calamity.

(Ch.9)

♦  ♦  ♦

There is nothing wrong if you are rich.

It is fantastic if you are famous.

But the question is "Isn't it more difficult for you to accept that the world in front of you is a hologram, that is to say, an illusion, especially if you are rich and famous?"

Retire
When your task is completed, you retire. (Ch.9)

♦  ♦  ♦

Let's decode this.

It means:

You can play in your hologram.

But don't forget what it is.

It is a catalyst that stimulates you to emit the fundamental energy called Tao.

[Note]

When you have achieved something, don't stick to the achievement.

If you do so, you are stuck in your hologram.

You just go away as if nothing has happened.

This Japanese movie «Zen» is about the life of Zen Master Dogen. It is directed by Banmei Takahashi, who used to work for Nikkatsu Corp. His actress wife, Keiko Takahashi (Sekine) played Dogen's mother. If you like Sony Chiba and B-class Japanese films, don't forget to check the word «nikkatsu» on a search engine. I can guarantee you that you will find unknown gems of Japanese cinema.

If you are interested in Zen but have no time to read voluminous «Shobogenzo», the film is an useful introductory lesson to know about the master.

In Buddhism, there are many ways to turn the wheel of manifestation / Horin (in Japanese). You don't have to look for Satori in Zen. In Jodo Buddhism (Pureland Buddhism), you can learn how to rely on Tariki / the power of non-self. Eventually you will find out self and non-self are the same thing. A contemporary Japanese novelist Hiroyuki Itsuki talks about his experience of evacuation from Korea during WW2 and tells us how to "embrace despair".
