Tao Te Ching Chapter 33-5
Learn satisfaction
Knowing satisfaction is wealthy. (Ch.33)

♦  ♦  ♦

A: "Master Bonbon, I am desperately frustrated. Please help me."

B: "Learn to be satisfied."

A: "Yes, Master Bonbon, I will learn to be satisfied. Be satisfied. Satisfied... I can't do it. I can't do it. It is too difficult."

No, it isn't. It is easy.

Your outside world is just a catalyst.

It exists only to stimulate you.

What's its objective?

You don't have to achieve anything.

All you have to do is to accept and emit again the fundamental energy by thanking all, for example.

When we are not satisfied, let's say:

"Thank you, my frustration".

Some questions. Can a Zen master be an artist? Can a baseball (or football) player be an artist? Can a chess master be an artist? The answers could vary. Then, how about these? Can an artist be a Zen master? Probably, possible. Can an artist be a baseball (or football) player? Probably no, unless his name is either Ichiro or Zidane. Can an artist be a chess master? Both of the two occupations are time-consuming, so probably no. When you read Kawabata's «The Master of Go», you may have an impression that it doesn't matter to the master of Go whether he will win or not. He seems to have wanted to create beauty on the Igo board.

Tao Te Ching Chapter 33-6
Ambition
Forcing himself is ambitious. (Ch.33)

♦  ♦  ♦

Please don't let your own ambition cruelly torment you.

It is like rain. Your ambition doesn't belong to you.

Neither do your body and mind.

Don't try to suppress your ambition because you will never be able

to.

Don't force anyone to do anything, yourself included.

If you have ambitions, it is perfect.

If they are not fulfilled, it is perfect, too.

Tao Te Ching Chapter 33-7
Tao the eternal
Not losing this place is eternal. (Ch.33)

♦  ♦  ♦

A: "Master Bonbon, you said I had got Satori, right?"

B: "Yes, indeed."

A: "But, Master Bonbon, I am losing my Satori, I suppose. One day, I'm gonna lose all of my Satori. Please help me.

B: "Donate all of your money to our temple, and you will be saved."

"This place" means Tao.

But you are Tao. How can you lose it! So, you are eternal.

You are constantly in the state of Satori.

You sometimes forget the fact and get confused. That's all.

Tao Te Ching Chapter 33-8
Live after life
Living after his life is a long life. (Ch.33)

♦  ♦  ♦

What we call "life" is part of a hologram.

What we call "self" is part of a hologram, too.

Tao projects one hologram after another every moment.

Watch out! One's life is not one hologram.

It is his interpretation of a voluminous set of holograms.

It is like a pack of playing cards.

Then, we call the pack Life or Self.

Tao has an unlimited supply of those cards called holograms.

Every moment is an after-life.

We are reincarnating ourselves every moment.

Isn't it a long life?

[Note]

Reincarnation is discussed in Chapter 74 Reincarnation.
