Tao Te Ching Chapter 50-6
Excellent life care
I hear that a person

who takes care of

his life excellently

never meets with a

one-horned water

buffalo or a tiger

while he travels in

land. Nor does he

wear armors and

arms after he enters

an army. (Ch.50)

The best life care is Tao.

Your life is part of the hologram you project.

You are able to learn how to "take care of" your life (=your

hologram).

It's simple.

Doing nothing is the best way to treat your life.

Please remember that true You are Tao.

Don't worry.

You will never meet with any danger.

There is no danger in Tao.

So, you don't have to defend yourself.

KEYWORDS

Have you ever heard of "the frog in the well"? It often suggests "a person who doesn't know anything about the outside world". However, if you read the context where Chuang Tzu used it originally, you can see that it is not exactly the same as we interpret it. It is a beautiful metaphor of a hologram projected in our mind screen. You can find the expression in Chapter 17 / Autumn Water of the Outer Chapters. Not in the Inner Chapters, which are widely available.

Tao Te Ching Chapter 50-7
No one-horned water buffalo
No one-horned water

buffalo finds a place

to pitch its horn at.

(Ch.50)

A: "Master Bonbon, I

am scared something

bad is gonna happen

to me. Please help

me."

B: "You are my best client. Donate all of your money, and you will

be protected."

A: "But I have no money, Master Bonbon. Instead of paying money,

I will meditate. Will I be saved?"

B: "Get out of here if you have no money."

No one in your hologram will be able to hurt you.

The world, which is your hologram, exists to stimulate you, not to

hurt you.

You don't have to pay money or meditate.

You are always safe.

No tiger
No tiger finds a place

One-horned water

buffaloes and tigers

are there for you.

It is you who decide

whether you will be

bothered or appreciate their presence.

Zen master Sozan Honjaku 曹山本寂 [Ts'ao-shan Pen-chi] told his

disciple that when a mule looks at the well, the well looks at the

mule. (Egenroku 会元録, Book 13)

Dogen wrote: "Not just that."

"The well looks at the well. The mule looks at the mule. A man looks

at the man himself. A mountain looks at the mountain itself."

(Shoakumakusa 諸悪莫作, «Shobogenzo»)

Tao Te Ching Chapter 50-9
No blade
No weapon finds a

place to insert its

blade into.

(Ch. 50)

♦  ♦  ♦

Why can't any weapon

hurt you?

To answer this

question, let's think

about where weapons exist.

They exist in your hologram, which comes and goes as a catalyst to

stimulate you.

Disasters and pains, and miracles and joys are similarly part of your

hologram.

Weapons, disasters, and pains are miracles as well.

Everything exists inside you.

Therefore, no weapons can hurt you.

Tao Te Ching Chapter 50-10
No desperate situation
Why is it so?

Because he doesn't

have any desperate

situation without any

hope of survival.

(Ch. 50)

♦  ♦  ♦

Why can't anything

hurt you?

Because the situation you are in is a hologram you project.

No matter how desperate and hopeless it seems, you will survive.

Because the situation exists as a catalyst only to stimulate you.

Accept it as it is. Thank the situation for giving you a hard time and

making you emit more love.

Then, you will never be stuck in life, which is your hologram.
