65. Integration

In the old days, those who did Tao well didn't make people bright by it. Instead, they made them ignorant by it.

It is difficult to govern people because they are too intelligent.

Therefore, governing a country by intelligence does it harm.

Not governing a country by intelligence does it good.

Both of them are rules.

Knowing these rules is called Dark Depth Attainment 玄徳.

Dark Depth Attainment is deep and far!

You return to Tao with things.

After that, you will reach Tao's perfect integration (or Big Natural Flow) 大順.

"People" means you in this context. Be ignorant instead of being bright.

It is difficult to be one with Tao "because you are too intelligent".

Being intelligent does you harm.

Don't be intelligent.

They are the rules to follow in order to be one with Tao.

To have Dark Depth Attainment 玄徳 [gen toku], you have to stop analysing anything and abandon your intelligence.

Dark Depth Attainment is profound. It reminds you that true You are Tao and the world is your hologram. You (=Tao) are omnipresent.

All things in the world (=your hologram) will return to Tao. Your mind and body are part of your hologram and go back with them to the neutral state of Tao (=the state before your hologram is projected, =Bumo-misho-izen).

First, you abandon analysis and intelligence. Then, you reach Dark Depth Attainment. Your own self, including body and mind, finishes its role as a catalyst to stimulate true You (=Tao) to emit more of the fundamental energy Tao. So do other things in your hologram. Your own self along with them "return" to Tao and gets "re-integrated". At this moment, your own self doesn't exist any more. This is "your" perfect integration with Tao (=Tao's integration / Big Natural Flow 大順 [daijun / taijun]). What is it, really? In short, it is just remembering that you are Tao.
